UML2 2.x is now the default supported by 3.4-SNAPSHOT Print E-mail
Wednesday, 17 February 2010 22:40

The default EMF UML2 repository implementation was changed from UML2 1.x to UML2 2.x, in order to support the most current versions of the MagicDraw and Rational tools. Due to conflicting dependencies in the uml libraries, both implementations could not be supported at the same time.

Have a look at http://forum.andromda.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6724 and http://forum.andromda.org/viewtopic.php?t=6526 for more information.

Increasing Speed to Delivery Print E-mail
Monday, 10 April 2006 05:06

Date: April 25, 2006
Location: Microsoft Financial Services Conference, New York

The traditional approach to developing applications is very laborious and inefficient. We gather requirements, create models, translate these models to code, and finally test and tune the “crude” application until it is refined. That's a lot of work! A large portion of this effort is repetitive, mundane and boring. In this talk, we will share our findings that significantly reduce the level of effort needed to deliver .NET solutions. We will walk through a Capital Markets example to show how model driven development and AndroMDA can improve developer productivity and bring the fun back to application development.

Introduction to metamodeling Print E-mail
Sunday, 04 April 2004 00:00
Date: May, 2004
Location: JAX 2004, NH Hotel, Frankfurt-Mörfelden, Germany
Modern software systems are complex. To manage complexity, it is essential to introduce additional levels of abstracts using models. Models can be processed (read, write, evaluate) using the metamodeling techniques that have been standardized by the OMG in form of the Meta Object Facility (MOF) standard.
In this session, you will learn how to use MOF and JMI (Java Metadata Interface).
Basic knowledge of UML are a prerequisite to benefit from this session.
