JAX 2004: Model Driven Architecture in practice with AndroMDA
Sunday, 04 April 2004 00:00
Date: May 2004
Location: JAX 2004, Frankfurt

Part1:
MDA can be used to generate most of the architecture of an application. A case study of Lufthansa Systems shows how the open source generators AndroMDA and XDoclet have been used to create a Tomcat web application from a UML model. You will hear about pitfalls and lessons learned from this project. Also, Matthias Bohlen and Peter Friese will give an update on the just-released new version 3,0 of AndroMDA.
Part 2:
Transformations play a central role in Model Driven Architecture. This case study shows how transformations are integrated in AndroMDA and how you can develop your own project-specific transformations. Matthias and Peter will give detailled tips on modelling and will show a brand new cartridge that creates web applications from UML activity diagrams.
